Eligapris Gateway

Eligapris Gateway turns a spare Android phone into a private SMS + remote control bridge for your portal at android.devicepace.com.

SMS gateway

• Pair with a 6-digit code from the portal Devices page
• Phone number auto-filled from the SIM when available — confirm for SMS wake
• Defaults to https://android.devicepace.com — no URL tinkering for normal users
• Send and receive SMS through your number via the HTTP API
• Local message log on device; durable outbox for reliable delivery
• Radio-confirmed send status (multipart sent/delivery intents) so the portal reflects carrier truth, not optimistic “sent”

Always-on hub (UI optional)

• After pairing, a lightweight background :hub process owns a privileged foreground service, SMS receivers, and wake path
• One quiet ongoing notification keeps the hub alive (required by Android) — no per-event capture/alert spam
• Closing the phone UI does not stop sync — the hub keeps SSE and SMS wake alive
• Capability grants (SMS / camera / mic / remote / location) are mirrored to the hub so commands work without the UI open
• Adaptive poll fallback plus HMAC-signed SMS wake from an online peer (or external SMS egress)
• OEM keepalive checklist + opt-in default SMS app role for wake after force-stop

Owner remote

• Grant camera, mic, SMS, location, and remote commands per device
• Portal can ring, set volume, flashlight, clipboard, open URL, call back, and capture media
• Chunked media upload for photos, video, and audio — capture runs without shade event alerts

Developer mode (optional)

• Open More, tap the More title eight times to reveal custom API / hub URLs for local development
